WATERING THE SUN 1993
These images show the placement and motion of the installation Watering the Sun. Compressed air is pumped through an underwater structure to create a moving drawing on the water’s surface. Always moving in the flow of the river the drawing is in a constant state of change and renewal. It is made up of seven circles, varying in size from 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 22 feet in diameter. The work was installed for a 2 week period.
